“What is depression like?” he whispered.
“It is like drowning. Except you can see everyone around you breathing.”

Mental ill-health is a growing problem that is still associated with a strong taboo. My work has been focused on finding a way to more easily communicate and express your mental health status, and thereby have the courage to break this taboo. I have been working on jewellery as the means of opening up and expressing the emotions that lie on the inside. I have instead made those emotions visible on the outside of the body, to promote transparency.
